Adana, Türkiye · Since 2009

The Church in Turkey is not alone.

We are a local church in southern Turkey, serving Turkish families and Syrian refugees with practical care and the hope of Jesus Christ.

Turkish Christian Fellowship is the name our friends around the world know us by. In Turkey, we are registered as Adana İncil Kilisesi.

Medical outreach

We organize general health screening projects for Syrian refugee families.

Doctors, nurses and volunteers serve alongside our church, giving children and parents care, time and attention, and a reminder that they have not been forgotten.

Baptism

When someone decides to follow Jesus, we celebrate their baptism together as a church family. It is a public step of faith, and a day of joy for the whole church.

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Stories from Adana

Numbers have faces.

Behind every number there is a person. A mother. A father. A child. A name. A story.

Sevannah’s story

One girl. One family. A story God continued.

When we first met Sevannah, she was a little girl living with her family as a Syrian refugee in Turkey. After severe childhood burns, she needed medical care and surgery.

Through relationships, prayer and the generosity of believers, that help became possible. The story did not end there.

Leyla’s story

Through the love, mercy, and support she witnessed, her heart became open to the message of Christ.

Leyla is the mother of four children, and two of her daughters are suffering from serious kidney disease. The family lives under extremely challenging conditions and struggles daily just to meet their basic needs. Despite these hardships, during the past two months we have been able to provide small financial assistance and emotional support to help them continue forward.

As we spent time with Leyla and listened to her story, she openly shared the deep questions in her heart. She said that she often asked herself why it was Christians — and not even people from her own Muslim community — who were showing compassion, kindness, and genuine care toward her family during their suffering. Through the love, mercy, and support she witnessed, her heart became open to the message of Christ.

Leyla shared that she has now come to believe in the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and has chosen to place her trust fully in the Lord. However, this decision has brought painful consequences into her life. Some of her close relatives and neighbors have rejected her, looked down on her, and socially isolated her because of her faith in Jesus.

Please pray for Leyla, her daughters and her family.

What we believe

Our statement of faith

We stand with the historic Christian faith shared by evangelical churches around the world.

  1. Scripture

The Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God and our final authority for faith and life.

  2. God

There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  3. Jesus Christ

Jesus is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead and will return in glory.

  4. Salvation

Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not earned by works.

  5. The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit gives new life, lives in every believer and empowers the Church to live and witness for Christ.

  6. The Church

All believers form one Body in Christ, called to worship, make disciples of all nations and love their neighbors.
